Just another little sideline of mine;

Original vehicle started life and served many faithful years as a 2wd petrol/Lgp 2.6lt Holden Rodeo X-tra cab ute..

Have not had too much luck keeping the the old girl on the road over the last few years due to head and various mechanical issues (old age setting in) and being a typical Isuzu is a SHIT to work on in petrol form.

Have wanted a 4WD 'toy' for several years now but the MQ shorties are generally a metal Cancer ward , 40 seried cruisers are woeful to drive and common as assholes so enter the only one of it's kind that I'm aware of.

What we have here is a fully compliant Holden Rodeo X-tra cab , short wheelbase 4wd Turbo diesel . The chassis and 4wd Driveline are all Isuzu items , added bonus is that the new donor rolling chassis also has 4 wheel discs , LSD and a host of other goodies.

Total lift over the original 2wd version = 11.75" on stock springs !!!!

Alum shorty custom tray will be on this weekend . (hopefully) the rewire from Petrol EFI/LPG to Diesel and a number of other teething problems sorted by Sunday to the point of turn key and maiden drive :kuda: :kuda:

Once sorted the cab will be resprayed , the good rolling stock fitted , the custom cut down 08 Patrol bar / winch fitted etc..

You saw it first on KSRC - there is NO other like it -

More pics to come..

Am sure you'll enjoy. I'll be spending some of this weekend driving a raised SWB Landcruiser with a 350 Chev shoehorned in - it's got some poke

Last one I drove had a 327 on LPG - That was a beast let alone the extra torque of the mighty 3 Fiddy!!

Thanks guys - Just clocked off (the project)

Side steps on , after several dummy ups on the mounting points --- perfecto now!!
Discovered PS box was literally smashed internally from roll over of donor vehicle / chassis [ a set back but now replaced / sorted :kuda: ]

Tommorow tray comes back off for final tidy up .
Took some more pics with tray on etc but can't figure how to get them from phone to puter!?

Total spend to date ------ $3500.00 [inc GST]
But a shitload of manhours!!!!
