Saw one yesti for the first time in the flesh and got even more revved up for it then i had in pictures and info on them!

Plas and Nek have a difference in oppinion so im on here getting a better oppinion :P

So i'll be going froma zr 550 (zephyr) to that....

Go for a test ride and see which one you prefer. They are identical except for the fairing/bodywork. :D

should be a good bike kimmeh, neutral handling with enough but not too much power... good ergos and they have revised a few components that reduce the vibration through the bars and footrests... which is about the only thing anyone ever complained about

I'd got the F myself, fairings make a big difference on longer rides and the N is just fugly..

 :?

It depends what type of riding you intend to do? They're completely different bikes... I thought this was between the er6-f & er6-n? If your looking at the zx6r then that would get my vote ;)

I like them but don't think they are significantly better than what you have. Have a look at the Z750 they are significantly better. :)

if you are going for just something bit more laid back than full on sports like a Ninja, then go for something like a Z750, or to keep the jollies in the pants a Z1000.
ER6 would be a good bike to own, but i could only seeing it really being owned to be used as a daily hack to just get around on. Anything more than that, u will get bored of it!

My Er6F served me well for about a year. I didn't realise what I was missing until I rode something else!

As others have said- it totally depends what you are looking for. My ER took me on an 11 hour ride and was comfortable the whole day. I commuted to work on it and it was great. I always described it as 'good at everything but great at nothing.'

My Gixxer has so much better handling and suspension, and is an absolute pleasure to do weekend rides in the twisties, but cannot compare to the comfort of the ER. They are like chalk and cheese.

Lol i did look at the z1000, neka even made a suggestion that i could buy his and he upgrades... NAAAAAAAAA! I think once it comes crunch time i will have test ridden the bikes i like and go from there.

I commute everyday on my zr and its great.... But i wanna be able to get a bit of umf when i need to and apparently the er-6 doesn't have it... Meh... Wont know till next year lol

everyone discounts the ERs but if you're still new to motorcycling, then id imagine it to be a great bike, specially if u commute everyday and dont want a bike u have to work hard on to get it going...if u wanna become a faster or sportier rider then go for the Z750 at a minimum...

FWIW i love the ER6n... but i think im the only one...

the paraphrased quote from the AMCN bike of the year contect where the first ER6n was entered was...

"we should get 8 ER6ns and have rider of the year"... they are good at everything but not blindingly quick...

altho hearing about Mick C scratching on his old Z650, maybe a modern 650 could be quick in the right hands... :P
