I'm not totally stupid just had no idea what a spool was ahaha :P But thanks Spex, definitely the best way to explain it.
Now APPARENTLY it fits 10mm spools - I was sent 10mm spools and they dont fit in, why would that be? (They were thrown in free and said they may not fit but on 2fiddy.com they said they would)

Will try again tomorrow, someone said that I need to fiddle with it a bit to get it to screw in.

Your OK mate :kuda:

Most Kwakka's run a 10mm thread . If you are in doubt , pull the allen key bolt out of the spool and try to thread in by hand on it's own. If it is obviously too big the 08's may have gone Honda style with an 8mm jobbie....

Others here would be able to confirm.

Sweetman fasteners / Atom supplies etc would be able to supply you a set of 8mm SOCKET HEAD bolts and washers to suit your spools if required. I like the 304 stainless jobbies for obvious reasons. 8)

Maybe the pitch (thread rate) isn't right? Don't try too hard to get them in - you'll just destroy the thread on the screw.

My first set of spools for the Zed didn't fit cos the guy at the shop stopped listening after "10mm", gave me a pair of 10mm with 1.5 pitch instead of 1.25 like I needed. They'd screw in maybe an inch or two then they stopped. Next time around, I did some research and asked for the specific product code.

I seem to recall the 250 Ninja takes the same size (10mm, 1.25 pitch). That's OF826 in the Oxford catalogue, don't know about the other brands.

Ok I tried it again, no matter what its not gonna fit - I was told these are 10mm but the actual screw seems like.. 1mm bigger than the hole

So what else would work? Luckily I got these for free

Have you measured the hole and/or the screw to see if they're actually 10mm?

According to this forum - http://www.kawiforums.com/showthread.ph ... 09&page=23 - your swingarm will take 10mm, 1.25 pitch. You could buy some $2 screws in that size from Bunnings to make sure they fit.

He'd explained it to me actually - he asked if I want them thrown in for free but he wasnt sure if they'd fit my Ninja for some reason
But I didnt know what he was really talking about (being a spool noob) so asked him to throw them in just incase :)
