well i can still get to the bolts but i figured if i take the tyre off, the forks wont have that stability at then bottm and it could bend them?

No they will be fine, the stands are designed to be able to do that ;)

hey all, i tried to remove the front tyre, i got the 2 main bolts of but the axle bolt, that need a hex head bit which is like 12 mm, does anyone know where i can find it?

i've tried super cheap and the biggest they have is a 10 mm hex head key.

cheers fadi.

I've got a 12mm one from Kincrome as part of a set (1/2" drive) - you can get them from Repco, etc. Any specialist tool company should be able to source one for you too.

If you're stuck you're welcome to bring it up and do it here.

If I remember right, M12 bolt with 2/3 nuts threaded onto (maybe biger or smaller can't quite remember), insert into axle and use spanner/ socket to undo. Long time since I had to use bush mechanics on my '9 but this got me out of trouble until I picked up a 12mm hex. If you have a welder a couple of spots of weld on the nuts can hold em tight.

Zen and the art of motorcycle mechanics. :kuda:

I've got one but I'd only use it in an emergency - they're pretty soft and wont last terribly well.

Or Repco, Auto-one, etc. Maybe even Bunnings from memory.
