Re: Oil-leak

Ok on further inspection this morning and a bit of reading the manual. There is a overflow bottle from the airbox which ill post a pic below but is empty :? ...I also took a pic of the oil on the engine and headers which is a bit hard to see.And also the oil level in the sight glass with the bike level...I'm kinda thinking if the overflow bottle is empty then it cant be leaking from the airbox cause wouldn't the bottle fill first?Mechanic dosn't open till monday

BTW Thanks heaps for everyones imput :kuda:

Cheers Dave...

Prolly would be the best option if i were you Rob but I'd get the bastard pulled apart and degreased fine but putting things back together has always been an issue with me

They might not admit it but at least they can possibly do something about it
 I wasnt going to say anything about the oil level considering the angle of the shot

Yeah the angle is a little out so i can get a shot of the sight glass it's a little bit hard to get a clean pic but the bike is upright(level) and NOT on a stand. Is there a way to check the correct level as there is no dip stick as such?In the manual it gives an amount in litres for just an oil change and one for oil and filter which is a little more.If i did drain some wouldn't i just be guessing?

Hold on did we find out the oil level?
If so is it the same problem that Wattie had?........ this being the case just drop the oil level ..... better still get them do do a change
& fill to the correct level  I would suggest you watch to make sure it is to your liking 8)

Oil level was fine when I took it to Craig (might have been on a bit of an angle while i had the bike balancing in one hand and camera in other  ).He was the one who pulled it all apart and checked the airbox and levels.Once again top bloke :kuda: .Aitkens got back to me and told me they will fix it under warrenty (some fault). They are gunna do the cam chain tensioner aswell while its in there next week.
