Article from: Herald Sun Paul Anderson and Mark Buttler
November 22, 2008 12:00am

POLICE have slammed a young motorcycle rider and his pillion passenger who led officers on a high-speed chase before crashing their bike at a major intersection.

Police say the two men are lucky to be alive after allegedly speeding at up to 170km/h and running at least one red light.
Police chased the two men along Nepean Highway in the early hours of Thursday before they crashed at the intersection of Lower Dandenong Rd
and Boundary Rd. The injured men were arrested and taken to hospital.

The rider, 19, has been charged with theft, speeding, evading police and placing his passenger in danger.
The passenger, 24, has been charged with theft and possessing amphetamines.

I'm sure the finger will be turned around and pointed at the cops for "making" them run and do such high speeds. I mean it was totally the cops' fault, right? :axe:

One bright side though. At least the poor owner doesn't have to pay an excess now. It's pretty rare that not only is the bike recovered but so are the perps.
See here, young man,
From Walgett to the sea,
From Conroy's Gap to Castlereagh,
There's none can ride like me.
