I dont know what your laws are in Queensland but even if it is legal I wouldnt think that after crashing a 125, moving on to the most powerful supersport class bike there is would be a good idea, especially with such little riding experience.
Look after yourself on that bike mate, dont wanna see ya end up another statistic. :(

mate, its a nice bike (not as nice as say a cbr)...but wot i think spekt-r is trying to say is "oh, uve had 2 months riding exp on a 2stroke 125, so now u know EVERYTHING about riding a 636cc fourstroke which ways almost twice as much, and has twice as much power"....actually i am a bit surprised more pppl here havent said similar things....u r right, we dont kno how good u are, or how much experience u have, or the reasons behind ur crash, and possibly YOU dont even kno the answer to some/all of those questions??
point is (yes, i have 1 for a change, and i AM getting to it)...oh wot was my point?? oh yea...were a pretty tight knit little group here, more than just nicknames, we actually meet a lot, ride together, drink together, eat, shit and sleep together (well sum of us)...so we dont like it when we lose a member.....we consider ourselves mates, and we hate lossing mates....so take it easy on that thing, it'd be a shame to see it ll bent up (even tho its only a kwaka hehe)....get use to it, enjoy it, and have fun on it...but above all, be safe.....
oh and welcome....
and neka's tip of the week...DONT DRINK AND RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...EVER!!!!!!!
ok im gunna get sum sleep...im heading to the track in 6 hrs to race the blade..i got a few pics, ill post em later...

Along the lines of what spekt-r & neka were saying .............just take it easy champ cause big(er) bikes tend to have a way of biting you on the arse when you least expect it.

If you push the pace its not a matter of if but when so have fun on your new ride and keep it looking new n shiny(upright).

What Neka said excluding the bit about Rhondas (c'mon now Neka, you've been in denial long enough).

I got of a ZXR 750 (first bike after a 6-7 year break from riding due to a big off) before jumping on my 04 636 and the performance, power and weight difference totally blew me away.

Just take it easy, find your groove and enjoy the hell outta that beast. Sweet colour BTW (pitty theres no black!!).

Hey Pearl Black, don't mean to be picky but the 636's only came in black in 03, they were available in blue and green in 04. I know I am a picky bugger!!

At least you have a bike to ride I should get back in my hole.

(said in an Irish accent) Well oil beef hooked!!!! another black mark against Bills Motorcycles and a kick up the arse for me!!! Bill sold it to me as an '04 and in my enthusiasm to mount the beast I didn't do my homework or check. I just shined the torch on the tag and there as big as brass 2003. Didn't get regsitered and see the road till Oct '04.

NOT HAPPY (but it's my own fault)

Yet another reason I wont buy from there.

A guy I work with picked up a new Fazer 600.... it was dead within a week. It's now sitting in their workshop.

Jase, who do you use now? I suppose its Boltons or bust. Its just such a pain to get there from Hope Valley.

Thats still pretty good Pearl Black, not ridden til Oct 04 which practically makes it an 04 anyway and there wasnt any differences in the bikes anyway except for the colour.

But the stealer should have told you it was an 03.

Yes beware of that, another dealer tried that on me recently, apparently anything plated after October is seen as the next years model. ie. 10/03 is classisfied an "04", but to me an "04" has to be plated "04"

Nice bike though, and I always ride to 8/10ths of my ability most of the time unless i really know the road.

Good luck 8)

my very 1st bike (NEVER knew what a clutch lever or brake pedal was) was a honda cbr600 (we don't have 250 restiricted BS licenses in the states)...... granted it was a honda (no where near comparo to the 636!), but like really, how hard is it? sounds like you atleast KNOW what two wheels are all about, you'll be absolutely fine, as i'm sure you already knew! funny how this "1st big bike" thing is even a "concern" over here in Aus..... maybe u "mates" just care for each other more???
anyway, i don't know where i was going with this..... basically, use your head when riding, get used to your new baby and all will be ab fab.
