i got the money at the moment so i might aswell spend it on decent stuff! I'm also looking for some chain that i can use to chain my bike to a brick pole thing, i heard you can get one's that need some big loud tool thing to break, instead of normal clipper things (this probably makes no sense but i know nothing about tools, the occasionally useful tools anyway =p) any ideas of where i can get them from?? and are those zena locks any good? also i'm looking at tinting hat front clear plastic visor/screen thing at the front, i heard it can't be tinted like a car and that you need to replace the entire part, who nkows where i can get them from? i've been asking around, people either don't have them or havnt heard of them. had a look on a few sites too but they only specify for 2008 models, not for the 2009, logic tells me it would still fit but i don't wanna buy it and then have it not fit.

Ahh so they are! got to get used to the colour being the only difference! Was just about to buy a carbon fiber slip on exhaust until i realised the price in AUS$, damn these tough economic times!!

First thing to do when you get the bike home, get rid of the billboard at the rear... Worth at least 4HP with the reduction in wind drag!

I made my mind up about getting rid of it before i even bought it! Not sure how i'm going to do it though! i'm NOT great with using tools, i'm scared i'll break something! but i'll admit that it is quite horrible looking though!

Suggest hooking up with a member or mate that has done one before & please keep all the original parts that way when you sell the bike it can be 100% original.
You can buy fender elimanitors off the net or order through motorcylce accessories shops.

i will definitely help u if/when u need it shez... specially as i had the bike... changing the exhaust is a piece of piss when you know what you are doing... even a mechnic-ophobe could do it...

thanks! maybe take you up on the offer, whatever it's called looks hideous, makes me look like an (almost) learner, the big bright yellow "L" just isnt enough anymore!!!

i just rang up a few places and they suggested "competition Werkes" fender eliminator, and that it would take a good few hours of labour to get it done, and it was $100/h. and i've got to wait 2 weeks to get my yoshi exhaust! not very fun for an impatient person.

do not go to the workshop to get the eleiminator done... many people here have done it before, even on your model of bike... much better to buy someone a six pack ($20) and get them to do it...
