Don't know how I got it but all this crap started to pop up tonight making things very difficult

Looks like a genuine Windows Anti virus/spyware program pop up but can't get rid, tried system restore but still no good.

Can't find a program to delete, is it genuine? I have Kaspersky anti vrus int security and this hasn't picked it

Any ideas on what to do would be greatfully appreciated.

Go to the Windows web site and download windows defender.
Its free and should help clear up the rash.

and if that doesn't work..grab a copy of Ad-aware or SpyBot(Search and Destroy)
all freebies too on the net...and run them

Its not legit.
I had it on my pc a while ago and it brought my whole system down.
I spent 2 days on it and managed to remove it, most of it manually and sifting through the registry to remove certain entries...but still wasnt good in the end.
I ended up formatting and going to Linux again. Why i left it i dont know...
I still run a windows box on the side, but i have AVG and Adaware running to prevent it from happening again.

Also you might want to download the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool, it helped in picking up a lot of the virus.

try spyware terminator from download . com , best freebie I have used to date. I had trojans n shit a month ago, cleared them all off.

That screen shot looks a lot like the fake alert that downloads trojans (no hoffy not the stretchy round one you keep your toll change in) some nasty virus's etc etc. have a read of this forum as some of this type of infectiuon can cause you a lot of pain http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22.

If you read some of the posts they even have links to the latest and greatest removal/free tools.
