I'm getting a lot of pressure to retire the Heine Gericke Pro Sports (or Poo Spots as they have become known) so I'm keeping an eye out for a good deal..

Group buy anyone.. :-)

I'm a fan of the Alpine Stars. The leather seams to be of a better quality to the others I have tried.

I have a set of Joe rocket GPX Leathers. I bought them in early 05 and have thrown them down the road, with no tears or burst stitching or leather perforation. They have done loads of klms, probably around 90,000klms just adding up what I did on each bike. I reckon they are good value and worth consideration.

I've heard bad things about the newer Rocket gear though - seams bursting after fairly minor get-off's, etc. I love my Collins and they held together well when I tested them earlier in the year.

Dave, I've seen $2000+ Dianese suits burst open after very minor falls at the track and on the road. So, anything can burst or wear through in the right circumstances. Things to look for are a decent thickness of hide and a minimum of double stitching, as well as comfortable and protective armour.
