ZX9R Callipers

Postby h8_rice » Sun Oct 19, 2008 10:34 am

Hey chaps, well I finally dug deep and bought those rotors. They are the wave type.
The pads metal gear send with them are to suit the stock callipers, but on these rotors they are only making contact with half the disc!
Anyone got reccomendations as to what callipers I should be looking at? One of these stocko ones is binding, pretty much cooking the heck out of the rotor on one side, so to stop it I have to take it easy and only use the back brakes so they don't keep binding as I use the fronts., (not hard considering I mainly do highway riding), I'm waiting on the seal kits to come in.
I'd rather something bigger and better, and bolts straight on.

I wouldn't have thought it but the stocko rear rotor looks like a bucket of ass on the back now, so out of place lol

g'day mate, what are you doing with your old calipers and discs? i am fitting up a ZZR 1100 front end to my Katana. so far have the forks mated to GSXR triple clamps, the spacing is just right and i dummy fitted my ZX7 race bike wheel and disc with no problems at all. i do however require discs and callipers(and a wheel) just saw your post and thought ya never know.....
Cheers
