I dunno, but he is Brocks prodigy in a way, hey, u cant argue with the results 8)
Their car/team lead almost all the way and went way out in front on every pace car so they deserved it IMO.

I was very dissapointed it wasnt a ford 1, 2, 3 but richo and co just couldnt hold it all race. Mind you, the stratigies for all the finishers were almost spot on. Gota love supacabs... :D

Not bad from a general fanboy! He is a farkin legend to me, why not, mind you Geoghan and even the hated Moffat are great memories to me. Go jim richards " u r all carnts the lot of ya" or simular from the podium?
When V8's were un common and every car was allowed, cortinas, minis, sierras, nissans, even the first falcon v8, a 289cui 1967 XR won many more races than the XW/XY and being the first ozzie built/ produced v8 was a complete success. Mind you this attitude by Ford started the supercar revolution that todays cars call their roots from.
Anyway, go FORD smitty u karnt!!!!! :P

Mind u I passed up an white and black (very rare) brock A9X SS with original and perfect hutch hatch (rear tent) in 1988 for a GS falcon with a GT motor which seemed at the time and was a hotter car and quicker  same money, but stupid young bloke shite huh, even sold that riggdy motor for peanuts  Ya gotta remember most of those things were common back then and I was a ford man, considering a good GT HO phase 3 has sold around a million bucks lately I consider my excesses and opertunities completely lost!!!!!

Oh, I do have a phase 3 petrol cap and surround if anyone wants to pay for it, if not, u can have it for a grand...hahahaha

I think you'll find Jim Richards and Larry Perkins might have something to say about that!

For the record (since the race went to 1000 km ) HOLDEN = 22 FORD = 11 ( 2 Sierra's ) BMW = 1 JAGUAR = 1 NISSAN = 2 VOLVO = 1
I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..

Hehe, gota love the real fans even the cablovers aye ardy... :P
I think this race has many fans and this is what makes it such a great race, 161 laps for walking on water sake (like jesus or madkaw) :P has to be huge in anyones language, is there another race in the world that does this, ever, and if they do (ardy?) in cars they use as cabs locally?

BMW make a good cab, merc makes a roomier one, yeah wish they still allowed all manufacturers in this race. I even remeber them making it a 1 engine race and a 2 manufacturer race. I thought that totally sucked, but well it still does, V8s rule apparently and thats cool, get a GT skyline to run the same lap and see the difference, however the call was it was going away from traditional aussie cars so they went to a 2 build race with no difference other than the badge. So far they have created great racing, total control of any aspect of engineering and wasted innovative and progressive attitudes.

Oh and Ron, i think Ford has done better than that.... :D

Revised results - Holden = 25 ( or 26 if you include the first win by Vauxhall ) Ford = 18 ( 3 x Cortina 2 x Sierra )

Oh - and 7 in a row between 1999 & 2005 :D
