HID lights!!
Just put HID's in my zed. The difference, Unbelievable!!!!
Really easy to fit, I got the Helios slimline type.
They are everything that (TIm-Superbike Supply) said they would be like.
Did I mention that they look shit hot!! One of the best mods i've done (I do shift work, so alot of night riding) and one of the cheapest!!
Definately reccommend these!!
Cheers Ian

I'll take some pics tonight.
The set up is standard, one low, one high (I found out the difference is in the reflector). They are a standard dual H7 kit.
They were only $200 pick up at Ormeau(half way between the Gold Coast and Brisbane).
He has a website.

there seems to be alot more available for the H7 style globe as they are more common.
The 10's take H11(low beam) and H9 (high beam) and they are an absolute bitch to find any alternatives for.

are these just a bulb replacement or does the wiring need to be modified?
Cheers,
pat.

you can get plug and play units
you need the new bulb + ignitor + ballast
its very simple!

why not just buy H7 Silverstar globes, HID impact for $10, no ballasts no wires, just change the globes.
thats what i'll be doing.

those globes aren't actual 'HID' globes, regardless of the packaging. True 'HID' globes require a full ballast in order to achieve the 20,000+ volts required to get the 'arc' working. Xenon globes of the same wattage (aka pseudo HID), give a slightly bluer and brighter light than stock halogen bulbs.....but there ain't a real lot in it.
One of the local 'Bus riders down here has a set of HID globes fitted, he loves them.......I am yet to be convinced either way. That, and I do very little night riding anyway (too many skippies around here now, they are almost in the bloody suburbs after dark !!!
