ZZR 600 crash knobs

Hi I am a newbie and this is my first post:

Does anyone know where I can get a set of crash knobs for a 2004 ZZR600?
I notice some bike models are advertised as no-cut, but I,ve been told these are inferior on some bikes such as mine as they are only mounted to the sub-frame. And may do more damage than good in the case of a serious slide.
Who's got the clues? Cheers Marty.

I am currently in the process of putting a ZZR 250 motor from a 2006 model into my son's 1990 model.
My second post will probably be tomorrow if it doesn't fire.

There is an online shop on Ebay UK, called UKGPshop. It has loads of other stuff but amongst what they sell are crash style crash knobs. They appear to be really good value, with a set costing about $60 landed here in Oz, compared to, up to around $200 for the local stuff. I always try and support someone local when possible, but when the smallest price difference was $100, I'll go online!

How did they turn out? I bet cutting a nice hole in that sloped surface was bastard.
What did you use to cut the fairings?

I have to fit them I think there is something wrong with the design of the small stand I have heard too many rolled off the stand stories.

When I did those I used a spade drill bit thinking that would do the job - should've used a hole saw in hindsight.
Apart from that they worked well - saved the bike on a driveway fall, and when a 4x4 backed into it.
Didn't help too much when I flipped it though

The R&G knobs are an engine mount setup - with a rod going between the two knobs behind the headers. So they're pretty strong.
The cheaper - frame mount - ones risk breaking mounts off the frame in an off.
I've only heard of this via the grape-vine - most people don't seem to have a problem.

I had a set of Kaneg's frame sliders on my 9 when I crashed it recently at the track. They did a fantastic job.

From the looks of that fairing they did do a fantastic job. It looks like they are a fairly worthwhile investment.
