Firstly this kid is a goose as a lot of us were when we were young, he should be thankful that he only got caught and didn't end up around a pole.

Kids of today have no respect, please what happens to us when we turn 21. Do we forget that we were teenagers. As each generation gets older they seem to think they were angels and that those that come after them have not respect and all due to no being able to hit kids or discipline them.

So I get it you didn't have respect you had fear, fear of being abused/ punished. Fear should not be confused as respect.

To quote a High School teacher I was talking to last week about some work experience students "this new generation are the most apathetic bunch, god help us when they are running the country" :(

If you can't discipline a kid without resorting to hitting them then you haven't learnt the fine art of messing with their minds :twisted:



Seriously though, discipline is not about hitting people...

Right Mick. Disapline is conficating all their power leads - making them spend the day sitting at the dining table (can't send them to their room anymore - it's fun in there.

Take away a luxury is far more serious to gen Y than any other form of punishment.
