I'm guessing approx 28 times your net worth Brendan :)

The custom kangaroo suits are about $2400 from memory, a bit less for an off-the-shelf cow hide set.

Not to mention the fact you would look like a right pratt in those leathers unless you were really a team rider

Hey number 3....

uve had ur collins for a while now.... coupla questions for ya...

1.are they still soft and luxurious?? and comfy??

2.have they been wet (rain...not cath getting frisky) ??

3.are they still soft?? lol

4.do u treat em with anything??

reason i ask.. every pair of leathers ive ever had, have turned to shit (super stiff) after a bit of rain or sweat...

hey #79

good suits will be treated by the manufacturer to make them waterproof.
NOT for the rain, but for human perspiration.
yep, sweat is the worst enemy to your soft leathers.

also, we only use & recommend RENAPUR for leather conditioning.
it is the bestest stuff. not cheap but will make your leathers:
1 provide waterproofing
2 keep them soft & supple
3 conditions the hide
4 cleans them, altough we use another product for that first
5 gives em a sexy 'wet look' but it NOT greasy or slippery.

very easy to use & the 1 tub will last for (literally) years. a run over your suit should take about 10 mins.
people are always gobsmacked at this stuff.

seriously, keep away from cheaper products. the substrate tends to sit in the seams & rot the stitching. not a good way to find out when you need them most.

as a footnote, i have also used RM williams saddle cream conditioner.
if its good enough for the aussie outback & temps from -5 to 50, its good enough for me.

1. They were never real soft or luxurious - now Cath's DBT suit *is* soft and luxurious.
2. Plenty of times - I hate wearing wet weather gear.
3. They're as good as they were when I got them (aside from the rash I put on them a few weeks back )
4. No, nothing

Yeh you just never know your luck - I picked up my old Technik pants from Metropolitan Spares at Silverwater for like $150 and have since bought a brand new Probiker suit on ebay for next to nothing . . . so you never know your luck! You just gotta keep your eyes open! ;) ;)

I've just ordered a two piece Joe Rocket suit from the states for $515 US including postage. Only problem is they are on back order and wont be here in time for the track day this weekend. :( The Teknics were even cheaper but I got the Joe Rockets as I have tried them on and know I can wear the Jacket without the pants if I want to. Talking to bike shops over here, they say they can't buy the stock for the price you can order it over the net at the moment.
