agreed

Some times you feel that you are paying for the brand. The cost goes to profit margins for sure, however they do have a research team, the technology is used to save lives. I have a Nolan and a Shoei helmet, i defiantly like the Shoei more. The cost between the 2 wasn't an issue. Even though you could get a HJC or RXT for 100bucks and it still has the pass Australian standards sticker, the helmet would be heavy and loud and more than likely ugly - i personally wouldn't put one on my head even to see if it fits nice. Maybe if you plan to go 60kms/h everywhere you travel  Fat chance!

i would get Rjays gloves, they seem to do the trick.
I almost bought an Rjays Jacket but didn't because it was my missus B'day 8)

I have an Rjays jacket which is 12 years old, still in great nick (ming leather treatment for cars) & am only upgrading due to my waistline not being the same as it was.
The helmets are cheap & nasty but the gloves are OK.
It depends on your budget of course.
