As a contract builder I can get paid $35p/hr. Spraypainting is about $55p/hr average (depending on what you're painting.) Motorcycle mechanics charge from $70 to $120p/hr. Highest hourly rate I ever heard getting paid was $3,700p/hr for the guys that weld the pipes underwater from the oil rig to the shore. Prick of a job though!

I wash Bums & watch Motoracing DVD's for little less then $20 an hour.

But don't be fooled it's not as glamorous as it sounds.

Life's not about money, i'm a qualified sparkie (lotsa $) & Social worker (buggerall $) & a Drug & alcohol counsellor (fukall $ and a whole lot of shit to boot). But nothing beats the self actualization that comes from Pulling up and adjusting an adult incontinent aid "just right" :P

$22.00 an hour as a Beer Plumber.
Crawl through roofs, under floors and up service risers hauling a semi-flexible and heavy python between 70mm and 180 mm dia. Sit underneath a bar top fitting off fonts for up to 6 hours. Deal with more yeast than a 50 yo hooker from the 1800's. Stink like shit from being covered in the aforementioned filthy beer. Put up with Unionists and they're associated bullshit on construction sites. Deal with pretentious Architects and "designers" along with their " Site Facilitators " and dickhead consultants. It looked great from the outside. I mean look at the joy you bring by providing beer to the masses! But as they say - the grass is always greener
I once was a Toolmaker - Trade qualified as Fitter and Machinist - for Holden. I worked on pre-production and R+D. I finished my apprenticeship and with similar thoughts as you are no doubt having, headed off to see what else I could do. I have found I can do most things- name it I have done it as a job - but I wish I had have stayed where I was.
I got a sweater for my birthday. I realy wanted a moaner or a screamer.

Money cant buy you love or Job satisfaction imho.
apparently being a beach inspector on a nudist beach dont pay too well!

been doing payroll for 24 years current $18-23 is average for non trade or no uni quals
in the business s (many) I have worked at lately.

had a young lad I know spruke how much you can make concreting driveways
as in $40 p/hour but then again its been raining for 3 weeks straight so...........

I can make an extra 3-4 bucks an hour by working for people who dont pay bills
or employee entitlements. ie lie all day and try and cheat the ATO and fellow workmates.
but I dont am always broke and fairly happy.
