Postby Saki » Tue Feb 05, 2008 11:57 pm

G'day guys,

I have been trying to find out about Simpson helmets. Been looking into them and i am really liking the look of the Simpson Bandit & Super Bandit.

question i have tho that i cant seem to find the answer to is,
Are these sold in Australia ? Or don't they meet the Aust standards ?

they are sold in Oz...I nearly bought one (Open face style) mid last year ..an update to my old motorsport helmet
new car..so wanted new helmet ...spoke to the Speedzone guys at Perf and RaceTech
but
beware a lot of these do not have an Aust STDS sticker
not a problem in motorsport as a SNELL, DOT or BS sticker will suffice (and yes the scrutineers DO check)
but
on the road...NO Aust Stds sticker is a no-no

make sure the one you buy does have the Stds sticker

HAHAHA,

Actually i was sussing out the Simpson Super Bandit, the black one with the more extreme storm trooper star wars look!!

I have been trying to look on heaps of australian web sites and all u get is the simpsons cartoon kids push bike helmets, and i can't find any with the Aust Standards stickers!!

I am gunna try a few bike shops on the mainland as most down here are pretty hopeless!
