Pirelli Diablo Corsa's are my weapon of choice atm.. The ol RZ5 only ever wore pilots as the piddly little tyres needed as much grip as they could get on that bike.

Quick warm up and good grip/feel when hard over... Hard to say if better or worse than other brands ATM as i haven't tried anything else yet.

I am however having an issue with the rear trying to tear itself apart..ie small 8-10mm splits appearing around the centre of the tyre and the leading edges of the tread are starting to peel back ... The damage appears to be due to hard acceleration but you would think the bloody thing would handle it!? Outer radius wearing normally it would appear :?

Anyone else had issues with Pirelli's on litre bikes??

the Diablo's are one of the only sports tyres that I haven't tried on the barge at this stage.......they were going to be the next choice once the current M3's have worn out.

I would also be real interested in any feedback about Pirelli's......

I have used a diablo. Not a corsa, just a normal Diablo and the grip is fine, but they scallop out early on in life and make the steering wobble midturn. Life was a little short too. I'd prefer the Conti's Sport attacks to the Diablo's!

cheers big ears. I had a Pirelli rep on the phone last year, chewing my ear off about how *good* the Diablo's were (the Corsa's I think) - she sounded really hot !!

Continentals......hmmmm.......last Conti's I used were Super Twins on my RD350 !!! ( i think they are still on a set of rims in the 4th.... ). Perhaps these could be worth a shot as well....

Have not had any trouble with scalloping as yet front or rear.. (which I have noticed plagues Sportmax steerers).Though I have seen some on a mates bike running the tourer type Dragons..

I will be replacing my rear with the same again shortly .. By the time it wears out I'll be due for both again ... Really happy with the way the bike handles and grip levels are pretty impressive..
Tyre life seems to be ok for a s/sport compound so I guess my only hesitation is the wierd shit on the rear!?

Surely they don't fall apart on Busa's!!!

to be continued!!

I ran a set of the bog standard diablo's on the old 9 once and once only, absolutely hated them. The only tyres I've hated more than the 218's that came on the Crim, and they were pretty average. The corsa's etc. are meant to be heaps better but I'd rather stick to my Metzeler's (cue someone telling me they are the same tyres these days  )

I have heard that about the standard Diablo's, old mate at CMCC told me not to bother with anything other than the Corsa's on the 12.....

I used to be a died-in-the-wool Pirelli user, back in the days when Silver-Dot Phantoms +1 were the *only* tyre to have on a big bike.....
