ZZR-1200

With all the updates Kawasaki has been making to it's line-up, I wonder when the ZZR-1200 will come up for some attention?

Anyone heard any rumours?

but the ZZR has only been out for a few years since the upgrade
from the ZZR1100 (well a year or so, at least)
it takes time Jase....

but I have heard a rumour that a faired (maybe ½ faired)
Z750 is in the wings
and the Z1000 is out....
(if sales don't improve)
I enjoy a chat with the sales guys at BKwaka
but
of course
you heard none of this from me.....

As for the ZZR1200, I've been thinking of upgrading to one. I saw the Z750 in the shop the other day and was half tempted, but have since thought better of it. I think I want something that'll eat miles comfortably, will be comfortable for the missus, and will also let me have a hack up in the hills with the mates.

If I found one locally for the right price, I'd have to have another look at it.

i almost bought one ya know.. then i decided on the zx9r.

I think the Z1000 looks great but tend to agree with Smitty, you only have to look at the classifieds( not that I browse them much!! ) and see that none of the Z1000's are selling!! have seen the same adds for the last 6 months.

You only have to look at Maz's dilema, I don't think she had a call in 2-3 months, I don't know why they are such a beautiful bike.

But I think its the pipes that do it, I have seen them with 2 x stainless yoshi's and they look sweet!! you either love or hate the stock ones, I think if they went to single stainless cans they would probably do better.

it comes down to sales... the large naked bike market in Oz is not as big as some people think...
and there is lotsa competition from Triumphs bugeye SpeedTriple to Duc monsters to Guzzis....
I wouldn't knock it off, but if it doesn't sell

and try the Z750, you might be surprised... all I hear is good...

ronster luvs his (1100) and my cousin swore by his (he just bought a Vulcan after riding his many ZZRs thousands of kays...dumb!)
it will eat miles (specially interstate stuff) your missus will be comfortable
and if you can put up with the tyre and chain costs, give neka a very hard time on the 'blade...heavy you see, but swift!
get one and try it

Mate, have you seen how high the rear seat is on the ZX12? It's ridiculous!! The ZX6 is more comfortable for a pillion because the distance from the seat to the pegs is longer, and the pillion seat isn't as high.

I'm borrowing a mates ZZR1200 while he's OS and my 9 is off the road. I'm quite enjoying it, nice and grunty down low, it really gets moving from around 3500-4000rpm...
