G'DAY from the wa goldfields

Sun Nov 25, 2007 10:14 pm

Yeah thought I'd do the official intro thing..

Great site...Thanks to all those involved in the making and upkeep of KSRC

Quick intro...
Mechanic by trade , always working on somebody's bike after work though if not just my own 2-stroke,4-stroke,dirt,road,quad,mini etc don't matter..(Cant help it..I have a bike affliction!!) :?

First bike was a Honda CM250 in 88..(Don't laught, It was a freeby!!)
Next was a bit of a steep learning curve...The venerable RZ500GP!! 4 cylinders of 2-stroke insanity bolted into the worst tank slapper of a frame invented!!!...Taught you how to ride though!!

Current ride is an 06 ZX10R with all the usual bolt ons ie titanium Akro race headers, carbon mufflers,Afam cogs (2t extra on rear) ,Ohlins S -damper(not the original..ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE ON A 10!!) , custom tail tidy , tinted D bubble screen , TRE , USB III , Pirelli Diablo Corsa's etc , etc ...(currently parked in loungeroom getting frame sliders and a number of other little 'refinements')

Just picked up a really nice stand courtesy of Pete at Kaneg.. thanks mate ...

Hi to all members and hope all have a great Xmas 8)

Back again...

Got sick of working on the GPZ (900R 1/85)..72,000km

Poor thing suffering from years of neglect!! Motor itself is still quite good with great / even compression and good oil pressure etc..Having a few issues with ignition system , carbs and electrics...
anyway enough shop!!

If you wanna find nuggets , I'm sure there are a few ounces in our wash bay sump.....Good luck trying to sell them though without the GSDU / Feds on your case

Cheers all.. safe riding 8)

Welcome mate. I used to work at Stawell Gold Mine (Sparky by trade), before that @ CSA in Cobar. Gold flecks at Stawell were way to small to take, however if you went out to our tailings dams, I'm sure you'd find a heap!
