Close call mate.. thank god your ok and still walking. Bikes are repairable. Mate you haven't had the bike long either.
Be very careful in all condition. Cars can do really stupid stuff to us bikers. Please ride safe. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk or a no it all, but have you done a stay upright course. I have , 2 in fact. They are really good for bike control in an emergency situation. You might want to consider this as a part of your training to be an old motorcyclist.

Bad luck dude, but glad to see you're still with us. It doesn't sound like the bike's too bad, but make sure you get the front rim checked out - if the tyre's lost pressure it's likely to be buckled, bent or dented. Make sure you replace the bent lever, if you straighten in back out it'll only be a matter of time until it breaks off, and it's most likely to happen when you least need it to.
I've always found a few glasses of rum helps ease the pain in times like these ... and ignore the "no alcohol" advisory labels on your drugs, rum is always good

Bad luck Brendan, but good to see you walked away...
I also concur with Dave's rum theory
As for the repairs, you can give Lawrence a call at Collide-a-Scope in hornsby and tell him you know me... 9482 8335
