yoshimura r&d exhaust bolt size

Postby 98ninja » Tue Nov 06, 2007 8:09 am

got a yoshimura r&d exhaust for cbr954 off ebay
slightly scratched but otherwise fine for $90 including postage.(from america)
the only catch.
standard exhaust has bolts attached to it and you mount it by tightening the nuts onto the bracket.
the yosh is the opposite. you need bolts to bolt it on to the standard exhaust mount. and it didnt come with bolts.
is there anyone who would know where i can find out the bolt size for it?
im kinda stuck at work for a few days and if i could go to a nuts and bolts place during work time it would save a lot of hassle and waiting to the weekend to run around before everything shuts at 12.

can't guarantee it, but they are *probably* 8mm coarse. Thats 8mm diameter, with a pitch of 1.25mm. All you need to check is a pitch guide from a tap & die set. If they are 8mm medium, thats a pitch of 1mm.

PM Stace, he's the captain of Team Bolt, what he doesn't know about bolts isn't worth knowing :D
