I knew someone would mention that ;)

Thanks for the well-wishes guys, and we'll probably be in touch MadKaw ;) maybe when they get home.

Been a busy couple of days - I don't really want to be anywhere other than the hospital at the moment :D Distinct change from 3 months ago
Mum and bub still doing well.
We'd actually picked the names some time ago, but Victoria was just waiting for the little man to open his eyes for the eye contact before confirming it.

Alexander (Zane) Michael Austen-Young

Yes Alexander is one of of the names on the list (380) we've kept an eye on them.
But it's also a nice name with lots of variants too, so he can pick and choose his own name. We've been nick-naming him 'Zane' for the last 6 months, so that should be rare ;)
Some will be pleased to know that Michael made it in there too :D

As Cath mentioned we've been working towards this for sometime - young Reece was just born when we began the journey. Well worth it though.

I might be in a 'My dad is faster than your dad shirt' - Victoria's already making up a couple of 'My dad's a wanker' shirts :D

u cant have a 4 step nickname!!... thats not australian...

as a bunch of lazy slack arses , a nickname is meant to be a short, easy, lazy version...not sumthin we have to think abt...geez ur mrs sounds like a thinker :P

She's been doing the night-shift - but I do all the nappies atm.
Funny you should say that Phil - I only have 6 weeks off, so she'll have to do the nappies then ;)
The little man's getting 4-5hr sleep blocks at night atm - so we're making the most of it until he changes his routine.

MadKaw - we may be interested in your offer.
If we're up for it we might make it to the christmas party (bit far though so we'll see). If so we'll have a chat/look then.
If you need/want to get rid of it all before then, go for it.

Thanks all
ty
