These were found on the US e-bay site, and were listed at US$199 plus postage. All up, landed in my PO box in Oz, they were AUS$260. It took 8 days from the finish of the auction until they were in my hands.......Gotta be happy with that !
I had looked at a few different other sets, including Wet4URacing, Sato and Gillies. The Gillies rearsets just don't do it for me, the Sato ones are nice but around $600AUS no thanks. I saw a set of W4U rearsets a couple of weeks ago, and thought they were the best looking ones of the bunch. These ones retail around the $430 mark from sites I have seen, but the price varies a bit from seller to seller.....
These 'Club 517' rearsets are CNC machined, 9-position adjustable, have twin-row ball bearings fitted to the lever pivots, and apart from the 'NUI Racing Project' etched into the side, look to me to be identical in every other respect to the W4U rearsets.
The difference is outstanding. The gearchange has improved 100% on stock (which was pretty good to start with), you only need to 'think' about changing gear and its done. No slop in the levers at all. The braking is much the same as before, there is no real mechanical advantage on the brake side. The grip from the gnurled footpegs is way better than the stock rubber inserts on the stock pegs, you can really dig the ball of your foot into the peg when attacking a corner......or roundabout, as the case may be .........
These pegs are 9-position adjustable. I have settled on the lowest, most forward position at the moment. This is only about 15mm back and 10mm up from the stock position. Its a good start just for the daily commute. Only a small difference, but it is noticeable. For track days or a real good fang, they might go up and back 1 or 2 spots.........the stock pegs/gearlever were hitting the deck at the Creek last year, so I am glad this can now be avoided. But for daily riding, the current position is the best. For a long haul, I think the stockers would probably go back on....
These rearsets can be obtained for a large number of different bikes and models, in gold, silver and black. The finish is outstanding, and the weight is maybe 30% less than the porky stockers....

There are only a couple of things I wasn't happy about.........not all the required fittings are included. I had to buy 4 nice s/s button head 8mm bolts to fit the rearsets to the frame. The stock bolts can be used, but these have a 'shoulder' which doesn't quite fit properly in the new rearsets. Also, the end tips of the levers could have been better quality (ie machined). Apart from that, I couldn't be happier.
