The only Supertaxi race I bother watching, couldn't give a shit about the whole Ford vs Holden thing, but it was great to see Lowndsie win again and the last 10 or so laps were nail biters 8)

Alas I was working but the once established Bathurst barrel is no more anyways so if I do watch it usually at home with a couple of quiet ones, just not quite the same as the barrel and bbq gig :(

Meh, one of the most boring race series going... If commonwhores and falcadores keep getting wider eventually there will be absolutely no passing on the top of the Mt Panorama Circuit at all..

Oh hang on that is already happening.

Touring cars in this country went to shite the day the Nissans and BMW's of the world were told to jog on.

People keep saying that, but if they'd kept them, then the year after the Skyline dominated, they'd all have been driving Skylines, and then it would have been the Skyline Cup. This would have resulted in a one make race, like it virtually is now anyway. So, who really cares if the one make is Nissans or Falcadores?

Are people who continue to call the touring cars Falcons and Commodores the same ones who think the wrestling is real?

I actually quite like the V8 racing. There's something brutish about them. They aren't scared to rub panels. The racing is close and despite a lot of the crap that comes out of some people's mouths, the drivers are incredibly skilled.

i dont reckon it would have been that way. when the toranas were dominating, they didn't drop everything else and call it the torana cup. i have the feeling that manufacturers would have wanted to show off their cars regardless and it may have even led to some more interesting designs than the ho-hum generic falcadore.

i understand what they've tried to do with this series, and making it more competitive might work for some people, but for me having so many of the same car out there with the odd difference in panel/paint just makes it boring..

try the V8 Brutes. they're actually holdens and fords, and they're driven by loudmouthed rednecks who are not only not afraid of the odd 'love tap' they seem to consider it an integral part of their racing :D
