Hey Everyone I just joined this forum and my name is Stephen
I currently don't own a bike but im planning on getting a brand new Kawasaki GPX in the next few weeks and can't wait till I do.
A little about myself as the name would suggest Im from Altona, Vic and my nickname is Greeny. Seeing as Greeny was already taken on this forum I went with AltonaGreeny.
Im a Diesel Mechanic at MTU Detroit diesel and the single father of one.
I've always been very keen to own a bike and after visiting the local kawasaki dealer as Kawasaki is my favourite brand I decided Im going to get a bike licence and buy myself a new bike. The main selling factor for me is that I drive a commodore usually and If i get a bike then automatically I would be making a saving on the $70 a week i spend on fuel and with it only costing me $50 a week over 3 years to get one it was an easy decision to make. I got the added extra of getting the riding gear cheap as Im buying a bike from them so I'll be well taken care of. My only problem is that my son is only 3 so he wouldn't be able to ride with me but I only have him weekends so I'll keep the commodore for when I got him.
Anyways I hope that I get to know you all well and will enjoy meeting and talking to you all.
Cya when I do

G'day mate..
If you're buying the bike for a cost-cutting excercise though then why bother getting a brand new bike? get one thats a few years old and pocket the savings, they're all identical anyway.., a new one seems overkill to me. the GPX/ZZR seem to last really well (in my experience) so I'm positive you will find an older one that will cover the km' you need no problem.. Just a thought.
Enjoy..
See ya out there..
