'Hoon' clocked at 189 km/h
September 6, 2007 - 2:01PM

A 19-year-old Perth man has been caught driving 111 km/h over the speed limit just days after getting his probationary licence.

Police say they recorded the young driver heading towards them in a Nissan Skyline at 189km/h on the Roe Highway at Midland around 8.30pm yesterday. As police prepared to stop him, he accelerated to 201km/h in the 90km/h zone.

A 19-year-old Swanview man has been charged with reckless driving under Western Australia's hoon legislation, and his car impounded for 48 hours. He is due to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court at a later date.

Like most havn't done something similiar! FFS, the Roe highway is a deserted two lane highway surrounded by bush! It's 8.30 at night, prolly not a car in sight (the feckin copper would have been hidden) he's in a hotted Skyline!! I would have too!!! Only mistake he made was stopping!
