Good Kawasaki Mechanics in SA?

Wed Aug 29, 2007 5:59 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to get my ZX636 serviced pretty soon and I wanted to know if anyone can recommend good places for servicing etc?

Of course there is Bolton's which I haven't been to for servicing yet, but they seem ok.

The other thing is, the bike has just hit 10K and the major is due at 12K but I think it was last serviced at 5K by the previous owner so I definitely think its due for a service. I don't think I will wait any longer and get the major done at 12K. It will probably take me a few months to get there anyway!

Cheers

The best Kwakka mechanic this state had gave the game away. I still take my bike to Boltons because I trust Ben (the young bloke) to do it right.

Between Boltons and SA Dirties there is only one choice. SA Dirt Bikes.

I have had three different bikes serviced through them now and been happy every time.
They are very competative in there pricing as well.

Don't let their off road roots scare you off.
They have had a name change to SA motorbikes but i think to many they will always be SA Dirties.

Thanks for the advise guys. I'm just looking around because I'm down Reynella way so Gepps Cross will be a bit of a hike. Coast Yamaha are the closest to me but I haven't heard much about them.

Does anyone have any suggestions about when I should get the servicing done?

Cheers

hmmm i dunno abt any good 'chanics down that way....

umm personally, i keep to service intervals.. but if u wait another 2000km the oil could be a bit old... ussualy the intervals are 6000km...do u have the service history??

Another good thing about SA Dirties is their Loan bikes.
Usually its a ER6 thing but now i have had a few bikes serviced/ bought I have had some good ones.
Try a 07 ZX10r for 2 days and a 07 Z1000 for a day.

it was last serviced around 5K by the last owner himself but I wanted to keep the servicing around 3K intervals to keep it tip top. Its tricky because it needs a service now but its only about 2K from the major aswell. I dont ride it much at the moment. Probably about <100km in the last 4 months but in summer that will be a different story!
