i didnt take any pictures.
its pretty straight forward though, just drill out the rivets and pull off the end cap.
then you will see the nut that is holding the baffle in. mine actually had a weld on it to stop it rattling out so i grinded the thing off.
then the baffle slips out.
then just rivet the end cap back in place (and throw baffle in the bin - cause you no doubt will never want to use it again).

i wouldnt say its really a modification. i think the race baffle is meant to be removed or left in according to your own tastes or rules you wish to comply with.
problem is with this particular exhaust is that they dont make it all that easy to remove the thing so its a bit of a job to get it out for the first time.
to be honest though i didnt know this pipe had the removable baffle in it till dave pointed it out otherwise maybe i could of ordered the pipe with no baffle or removed it before i even fit the pipe. Either way it ended well for me.
