Oh, I'll be there :D :D :D Just a matter of where... I'll start working on my friend to camp at the track... I think she'd rather stay at a caravan park 8)

may even be too late to get a van.... the caravan parks book out REAL early...

Nearest caravan park to the track is on the way to Cowes; highly inconvenient, being too far to walk to either the pub/food in Cowes or to the track.

The big caravan park in Cowes will be booked up by now, in all likelihood (yes, seriously), and the facilities there aren't really any less feral than at the track.

If you're going to camp, might as well camp at the track. The three times I did it, it was, if anything, too dead. Didn't see a single fireball.

I'll be marshalling again, and that gets me free camping for myself +1, but because I ride down two-up these days, there isn't really the room on the bike to pack six days' worth of socks and undies for two people *and* camping gear, plus I like the idea of a shower where you don't have to wear thongs to stave off hepatitis, so we stay in a house... meaning, those camping passes will be up for grabs. Keep that in mind, everyone.

Long time to go until the GP yet. I'll probably be set up in Sydney by then, but I and whoever comes with me will still be taking the scenic route down over two days, so if the HCC wuss out because of the coppers, come along with us.

If I go to the GP at all, i'll day trip it and tin top it! No point riding down a dead straight boring bit of road on a bike, just to have park in a converted paddock car park a mile from the track  ! Did I mention that I think the Gp sux?

+1, Strika.

If the WSB or the GP were at Eastern Creek, I wouldn't bother going. The racing is just an excuse to ride 2500 twisty km there and back.

I love the GP HTFU ;-)

It's about KSRC meeting up over several slabs of socalising. As Rossi pointed out a couple of years ago, when he got home he'd taken over 100 pics - & only 1 was of a bike ;)

Neka

You seen the size of Mario's shoes? You'd only need a quarter of a person to fill them!!!

Oh and his mum has a tattoo on her bum and theres only one way into town and the bridge fell down

it's worth riding down just so you dont spend hours getting off the island afterwards.

I'm heading over this year, albeit from Adelaide instead of Canberra.

From mine and my mates experience there really isnt a secret route you can take that will get you away from the prying eyes of the plod.. Well none that also include some decent roads anyway. But if there is one I wouldnt mind knowing about it hehe.

I love camping - but to get away from it all not to be a part of a temporary, beer fueled shanty town :)

So I will be staying in accomodation that involves a roof (Might hit you up for a room/floor space Marko if youve organised a place - will letcha know closer to GP).

I love the ride there and I love watching the racing and at the end of the day I like to have access to a clean shower, a warm cozy bed and some relative peace and quiet to enjoy a beer and reminisce.
