If it gets in the way of your foot I'd adjust it but if it doesn't I'd leave it alone.

Yeah you gotta be real careful with adjusting that HP! If you go too far you may position the lever blade in a position which restricts the access via utilisation of either vertically rising or descending force, thus causing the change lever to be inoperable. However, with a keen eye, 15 tequila slammers and 5 joints, the job is relatively easy. Just make sure that your sphincter is facing towards the earth wire at all times and ensure when manipulating the spline, that the coaxial return bolt is secured via a tension device with no less than 6nm of force applied. Now it has to be horizontal force at 6nm. Don't apply any lateral force as this has dire consequences. However if all this fails, then just loosen the locking nuts and twist the adjuster till it's comfy.

Are these questions for real?
Or are you just going fishing/ taking the piss?
Thu Mar 29, 2007 6:57 pm
It's a piece of piss... just unbolt it at the box pull it off, and put it back on either 1 or 2 teeth to the right or left and put it back on and try.. and then re-adjust if no good, then if your happy with it on the spot put the bolt back in and then tighten, and go for a ride.
just make sure you can get in and out of 1st on the spot ok.

Ya just gotta understand Greeny, that our HP is cut from a different cloth! Once you meet him and get to know him, you'll understand where these kinds of questions come from!

HP's alright in my books!
