Stauffer staying with Kawi..

Tue Nov 30, 2004 8:58 am

Just got this from Jamies Stauffers manager..

Just wanted you to know that Jamie signed a contract yesterday to ride for
Kawasaki again next year. Unfortunately, he will only be on the Superbike
and not the 600 next year. He was disappointed in that because they had
just got the set up right for him. As you know, he really wants to have
another go in America and it almost happened but the team that we were
talking to still hasn't finalized their plans for 2004 and Jamie couldn't
wait any longer for a commitment from them. The competition is very tough
but hopefully, with it's first year behind them, Kawasaki will get the ZX10
set up worked out and he can get some race wins.
I know the support of KSRC means a lot to Jamie and hopefully the club is
happy to see him return on the green bike.

Cheers,
Stephanie Little

Great news.. It's a shame about supersport, he did seem to do alot better on the 600. Hopefully Kawasaki get behind him and do some work on the bike, and make it alot more competitive.

Top Stuff, Good luck in '05 Jamie!

Now who's the new comer going to be.....

yep, i can tell you exactly whats going on...jamie will ride the superbike only, 600 duties will be left to his team mate. jamie wanted to do both but it came down to a money thing.

jamie's new teammate is josh waters, a really good young rider and should go well. :supz:

jamie had an offer from yamaha aust to partner his brother in the official yamaha team but decided to stay green...........excellent 8)

whatever happened to race on Sunday, sell on Monday when is Kawasaki going to learn to inject the right amount of money and effort that Honda does and it may lift them to the top of the pile.

How do you develop a bike with one racing? Anyway thats my rant but go Green in '05'
