I was just looking at the RTA website and it just says "Motorcycle $98" is it the green slip that costs more if the bike is bigger ? How much does it usually cost, in total, to register a 600-650 cc bike in N.S.W ?

i think my dads was around 400 all up for green slip and rego. that was a 750 though.

the rego is the same price
the greenslip cost varies on
your age
history
bike age
cc's
company you use
go here and punch in your details

I currently have a 250, but would like something bigger, I'm just not sure if i can afford to register it ? So i'd like to know how much bigger bikes cost to register in N.S.W.

did you go to that website i listed or not bother ?
as i said the rego is $98
the green slip varies
it will show you the price of the rego based on the info that you input into it
as i said it is dependant on
your age
location
age of the bike
cc's

Yeah, i checked it out, but as i have no idea what my next bike will be, it was a bit hard to be specific in all the boxes, but it did come up with a few qoutes ranging from about $280-$400. Ok maybe i should have been a little more specific with my first question, I'm 37 years old and i'd like a bigger bike (no idea what yet) I'd like to know what others with bigger bikes pay for their rego, in total, not just the green slip ?
Thanks

it sucks for me...
for a gpx250 i will pay 260 for a greenslip
for a ZR-7 i will pay.... 780 dollars....

why ask the question of what other people pay ? it is different to what you pay , its like asking what people pay for insurance
it depends on where you live, i bet you get a country rate
it depends on your history
it depends on the cc's
it depends on the age
the age is sub 10 years and 10+ for the category cost changes
and of course the CC's varies
punch in a few details and you will easily know what it will cost YOU based on the cc's and the age of the bike and you can then decide on the age and cc's of bikes to look for

yea..its not a clear cut question...
if ur lazy (like me) then u pick say 2 bikes...
1.a sports bike (zx6/10)
2. a not full sports bike (z750/1k)
u ring the greenslip mob and ask for differences in prices...
there u go..they do all the hard work, u just write down the answers....
i wouldnt b concerned abt the green slip, id do the same thing with comp insurance and worry abt that cost!!

Insurance ??? what's that ? I can barely afford a bike, much less insurance ! Guess i'll have to get something that nobody will want to steal, then again i probably wont want it either !

shit kiddo, if you go out there without at least 3rd party, you're fucked... if you can't afford to get at least 3rd party insurance to protect other people and can't even afford a green slip, perhaps you can't afford a new bike afterall

hell, I won't ride with you unless I know you can afford to fix my bike if you fuck up and crash into me

think first, then buy a bike -J.

3rd party doesn't really protect other people... it protects you from having to pay the damages you cause... full comp just means you damage your bike in the process it gets looked after as well.
sounds like rego is completly fucked in NSW to me... The only thing that should differ is the insurance component dependant on where you live.. and maybe if you are under 600cc or over...
Anything else should be irrelevant because it comes under your vehicle insurance.

Just paid rego on the 7:
Greenslip $425
Rego $96
I'm just about to pay for rego on the car..
Greenslip $400+ not sure yet haven't done all my home work yet.
Rego $372
So I dont complain to much about my bike rego
and yes rego here in NSW is completely f@#ked up....

I have third party, I thought the green slip covered everyone else and just left me and my bike stuffed ? I'm not getting a new bike, I'll be getting a second hand bike ! If your worried about riding with me, does that mean you'll just move aside and let me through if you see me coming ? LOL ! How can you be sure that everyone else on the road is insured enough to fix your bike if they hit you ?

that's what I'm arguing for... I believe third party property should be compulsory, I personally keep my bikes comprehensively insured for my own peace of mind...
oh and as for your passing me kiddo, try not to get too distracted by your disappointment and hurt yourself as you watch my taillight disappearing two corners in
