I nod to harley riders :) i had trouble at the pink ribbon ride and a harley rider and pillion helped me out, so now they get the nod :)
scooters or trail bikes.. er no...
i've also found a lot of bike riders ignore the 250 riders :x that suxs..

I nod or raise left hand to mainly sporbike riders and the occasional motard down the Go road. I wait for cruiser riders to nod/wave first then return the gesture. Given up nodding to trailies as I've never gotten a nod back.

I will continue to nod or lift a hand in acknowledgement and know that some will come back and others get missed/ignored.........I prefer to think they were just missed

me
I started out (a long time ago)
waving to anything with 2 wheels
and experience tells me........
'Hardly' riders never wave...so they can get 'not nodded'
cruisers scooter and dirts I nod to
and about ½ reply (not bad)
and I get a response from most Sporties..... cool!
so I still wave!

Sounds like trail bike riders are quite a rude bunch.

If you happen to be riding in the outer west of sydney and you see a little blue yamaha traily wishing it was a kwaka sports bike don't be shy, give him a nod... He's not like the others, he just wants to be a real bike!

Heh. Scooter girls. I had a bunch of scooter chicks on the side of the road the other day, as I rode past they were waving/acting all sexy obviously thinking I was a guy. As I got closer I lifted my visor and glared. They didn't wave no more

I think people in general have become a bunch of rude carnts....

Am thinking about chucking a u-turn and using a big stick to sort people out who don't return nods!

maybe a bit of all...i nod always to ne bike (cept scooters over here-u dont
need a bike lic to ride one here, so most scooter riders dont kno the
rule..tho if they nod, i do)..as a road rider,trail rider, ute driver,
redneck country loving bumkin, i nod to ALL bikes ,admire MOST utes, and
sing along to ANY country music i hear!!

i agree..i often miss a wave or nod then think "fark u idiot, he could b the
1 picking ur bike up off u"....if there on 2 wheels i try to nod or wave or
gesture (thumbs up mostly)..but sumtimes watching traffic is more important

I just nod to everyone, never had a dirt bike rider return the nod.... when I'm riding my Harley I still nod to sportbike riders but the ignorant pricks never nod back  same goes when I'm riding my R6, most but not all Harley riders don't nod back....

I don't really care what anyone rides, as long as you ride.....
