Clear indicator lenses...

Wed Oct 04, 2006 1:20 pm

Hey guys..... If I get something like this... do i need to do something special with the bulb? I would think so...

I saw some LED car bulb, they plug into normal sockets, but have LED's on the end, has anyone tried thes? Because i am guessing these would work together...

Does anyone know where to get this stuff in AUS rather than online?

Local K dealer has clear indicator kits, they came with orange bulbs, fit straight into the standard indicator socket, cost about $50 for a set of 4.

You should be able to get your local dealer to get some in for you pretty easy.

Any chance you remember the URL? I did a search for "Rated R" on ebay but I only found things that Duane would buy...

Steve (rated r) is a really good bloke when it comes to the items he sells. I have bought a fair few things from, all of top quality and they all arrived within three days. Keeping in mind that he is in Perth. The clear indicator lenses that I bought for my ten came with the orange bulbs aswell

Just noticed what you ride, I have 3 clear indicator lenses for your model, did have four but i cracked one when i dropped the bike. If you can get your hands on one then you can have these three.

I was just looking at the RatedR shop on ebay as I want to get some indicator lenses.

Which would suit a black bike better: clear lenses or the smoked-coloured ones?

Actually, thanks for the offer, but bought some, $24 all up, for all 4, including bulbs...

By the way, here is how it turned out

expense = $24 (from RR)
Time to install= 10 Minutes (tops)
Hints= When removing the old indicator lenses, make sure the rubber seal stays intact and that it is placed into the housing before putting the new lens in place.

Looks great for a very very cheap mod.
