the local dealer reckons that the best dyno to use is one that can be hooked up directly to Serco, so that the PCIII can be downloaded *directly* to the computer there, and it will then tune the bike *on the run* as it were. It will then download whatever map gives the best power curve. I won't be doing this until (a) snag a good Ti system, then (b) get a PCIII. Fit them both and then dyno straight away.......

By that he means a dynojet dyno using the direct link software I believe. Robbo's have that kind of dyno and I believe that is where CMC take their customers bikes who want their PCIII tuned. Im not sure if there are other dyno software packages that let you do the same thing, though I would think there would be.

another bonus of powercommanders is smoothing out the transition from no throttle to some throttle... every untuned efi bike ive ridden has jerked like a mofo when cracking the throttle open, can really upset the bike mid corner if your used to nice carby power delivery... you can get used to it but a little extra fuel in the ~1-15% throttle range can really help

I just fitted a full Muzzy stainless system to my 06 12. I was going to get a power commander but thought I would try it without a PCIII first as Muzzy says a power commander not required but recommended.. Now it rides like a two stroke. Nothing, nothing, nothing.....bang :shock:

. I am just about to order the PCIII.

I know what you mean. I bought my PCIII from the US and had it within a two weeks. It's under $400 (Australian) and only took me about 10mins to install. I bought it off ebay from these guys:

The link is for an 04/05 but I think it should work on the 06. Just send them an email and they should be able to tell you.

Cool, that sounds like the go - the early 12's don't need a TRE as far as I know, or a top-gear *fudge* for the computer :twisted:

I know what you mean. I bought my PCIII from the US and had it within a two weeks. It's under $400 (Australian) and only took me about 10mins to install. I bought it off ebay from these guys:

Thanks. I got the Muzzy from the US which took about two weeks. Actually i got it yesterday and had it fitted within an hour.

I do recommend a Power Commander and K&N Air Filter for the ZX10

It just happens that you could get a Power Commander III USB for the ZX10 for $470 delivered from mailto:sales@superbikesupply.com.au and a Power Commander III USB, K&N Air Filter and K&N Air Filter cleaning kit for $465 delivered

eh, its cheaper to buy the PC3, filter + kit than to buy just a PC3? or is that a typo?
