Didn't the clerk of the course have a hissy fit over that one John!!!!!

Mind, is it as embarrassing as flipping it over the hill at Wanneroo in a vistory celebration wheelie on a 125???? Wasn't that Waters???? :?

Yeh they wouldn't let me start the race because I had a broken screen, I'd won the first two legs but lost the overall because of that DNS in the last race  At the next race meeting, they gave me a trophy for the crash; it was a piece of my broken screen mounted on a block of wood with a plaque that said "Best startline performance" lol

Ha, in 30 years of racing, there are so many stories, I should write a book, lol. Like when we got chased by the police helicopter from Arthurs Seat.....

Mon Nov 20, 2006 2:05 pm

One of my mates was unlucky enough to test out his theory that you can outrun a helicopter by doing 280.....

He was absolutely right, the top speed on a bell helicopter is a measely 245kmph ........ Unfortunately police helicopters have some really sophisticated camera and heat sensing equipment that allow them to track you from really far away...

He gets his license back in 2012 I think.....

On the up side, he has a cool new DVD to add to his collection....

I know someone that did the same, unfortunately he was in his mum's holden vectra, and only managed 230 on the ballarat rd. He pulled up pretty quick when the chopper buzzed him and started to slow down in front of the windscreen.

same deal with the license return date and the dvd ... kinda makes it worth it :D :D

G'day Mr "O", you don't happen to know what Ken's riding now do you? Last I heard he had sold his 600 Yammie to go Formula 400 Tri State racing?

Apparently got the 400cc bug after a 3rd place in a newcomers race on some little island hanging off the side of England somewhere.
