For not very much more I can get a complete engine from a 2000ish zzr250.
My question is; will it fit? I know they are basically the same engine, but will it bolt straight into my frame - or would I need to modify something?

The water pump is $330 on its own, cam chain $80, rings $121, then gaskets and everything brings it to nearly $700 and then I have to put it together. This was 'supposed' to be a cheap bike to get me through my L's and I'll be on my P's before I even get to ride it if I don't get a move on.Lainie wrote:How goods the motor mateI mean your not going to have to rebuild this one to very soon are you

What was the price on the water pump
Daisy wrote:Yeah, the outboard mechanic.Anything we should look out for? Apart from that seal in the waterpump. I know how to find that now.
Daisy wrote:No. Its out of the bike and sitting on a shelf. I would hazard a guess that the engine wasn't the reason it was scrapped. I saw some of the plastics, esp. the tail.
