test riding on your P's

do they let you? or are there insurance problems. i'm off restrictions but still got maybe a year to go on my P's. Trying to figure out a way i can scrouge enough cash over the summer holidays to get myself something bigger.

I had been on my P's (RE) for 18 months and they wouldn't let me test ride the 6R but that might have something to do with my age. Here in QLD if you have had your car licence for 3 years you can go straight to opens but its also classed as P's. I think you can only do it if you have your P's in R not RE. Good luck.

same over here as QLD i think..in nsw if u dont have ur full u cant ride
nething thats not LAMS....well it use to b..but regardless in nsw, if ur
under 30 u have ur P's for a year, if ur over 30 u can ride wot u like..

I can test ride anything I want

It's the only Kawasaki dealer on the coast. He was gonna fully let me have a ride but he thought I was on my R licence but I was on my RE's. I told him I wouldn't want a go anyway because at stock height I can't touch the ground on one side and only tippie toes on the other side! Spose it would be different because I'm a little girl but it's not like he would say that to me because if he did I'd tell him to shove his bike up his arse.

Depends on the dealer I guess, if you leave a sizeable enough deposit before you test ride I am sure they would oblige.

I know the shop you mean Quarkz. They are morons. Actually, I don't like any of the bike shops on the coast, but if you head north a bit to Gympie you'll find Motorcycle Country. That is where I got my bike from, and where I first saw the Z750. Droool....

I have bought a heap of stuff off them, and they are always good on prices, and quite negotiable, especially when you keep turning up...it is one of those places where they take the trouble to remember your name...as cheesy as that sounds, it makes a difference.
