Very sad news...http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=94993

I didn't ride today but when driving saw all the debris on the road from the wind and thought it was pretty dangerous to be out ona bike today :(

Sad news, but as you said Colette it was a very bad day to be on a bike today. My friends that were racing motards were having a very tuff time of it esp coming out from the tunnell at Oran.
We got blasted out there today and the amount of crap on the roads on the way home was pretty bad.

They cancelled the dirt section because a guy did an unintentional nack nack when a gust of wind caught him in the air. My brother reckoned keeping it in a straight line was almost impossible and he was on 4 wheels (yes one of the quad guys)

That must have been after I left at about 2pm, the wind and dust had just gotten over the top and the rally school over the back didn't help either. They even had to rerun some of the drift races cause the judges couldn't see the cars.

... it was shocking out there - got worried after the first couple of trees (almost) blocked the road back to Wollombi :!:
I tell you, when your time is up, your time is up.
