So your visor is dirty after riding through the rain... You are not anywhere near your trusted visor cleaner.... Which product do you go for?
1. Mr Muscle Glass cleaner
2. Pine-o-clean general purpose cleaner
3. Amway everclear - Glass Cleaner.
4. Water
The obvious answer would be either option number 1 or option number 3... Read on to be amazed.
Water could be discounted almost straight away, even warm water would not remove the bug butts from the visor.
The correct answer is Pine-o-clean.... The MrMuscle and the Amway product both left a very mild greasy residue on the visor, meaning that in the dark a lot of "starring" happened when there was a car oncoming...
All things considered the pine-o-clean did a fantastic job and was not far off the result I am geting from my $6 visor cleaner...
Even though Pine-o-clean is considered a general purpose cleaner rather than a glass cleaner it seems to do a better job of cleaning glass too...
A few months ago I tested both products by setting them head to head on cleaning a rim... the pine-o-clean won that challenge to.... So... Dont buy MrMuscle... it has no muscle.... take the pine-o-way....
(no, I do not work for pine-o-clean).

I wet some tissue paper and plaster all over the visor. Leave it for 5 or so minutes, remove, then wipe with dry cloth.

I use the squigee at the servo
Doesnt work, scratches the visor and the water normally has oil in it.
It ALWAYS gets a laugh off other motorists but....
IF you have a quick release visor you can "soak" them for a while (like Aardies tissues I guess) in the windscreen wash bucket and it doesnt seem to be a problem (unless the bucket HAS got oil in it).
I tend to use my t-shirt to clean it (NOT the paper towels)
Used to always carry around those lens cleaners that come in boxes of a thousand of so, but my boss stopped getting them

4. Water
Pine-o-clean and Spray and Wipe type general cleaners
are not recommended for any plastics...coz they
contain mild solvents
I read the label
the best is Windex or Screen Wipes...
you can get screen wipes in a lil' bag of 10 or so
that goes under ya seat. I have some in my Ventura bag
cheers
