After suffering from glazing pads i was told that possibly the pads are to hard? I was also told that front brakes should never glaze or make any form of noise?
My concern is front pads glaze, the noise is only slight but after a while it gets bloody anoying(and sounds like a taxi at low speeds). If the wheel spins (when lifted) the pads just touch the disc and also have a small amount of movment, is this normal? Or is it infact pads being to hard.
Bike is a ZX7R 96

You can get a spray for the noise, it doesnt affect brake performance.... Ive forgotten what its called though..... The guys at RPM in Geelong/ballarat sell it..... Ring them up and ask them what its called....

Take out the pads and check if there down to the wear makes, if they are replace em. If there not, scuff em up with some rough sandpaper and put em back in. Bleed the system and see how it goes.

As far as pads go i run GoldFren(street pads). Don't see the need for soft pads unless you race or do heaps of trackdays.

I got a 97 ZX7R and its got sintered pads in it that squeal. Thats what these pads do...but supposedly they give good braking performance...but I don't care anyway...as long as it stops good...I'm happy.

my 9R will glaze the pads in record time.... i have wave discs that were brand new in march 05 and they already have a lot of up'n down play in the carriers (had zero when i got the bike on the road in november)... the discs are also getting slightly glazed with lots of little burn marks

maybe that says a lot about my use of the brakes
i found that when the brakes felt dull, if i pulled the pads out and rubbed them on concrete they felt brand new.
recently they felt crap no matter how much i roughed them up and couldnt get a firm feeling from the lever no matter how much i blead them... the pads were about 1/2 warn from new. threw in some new pads and everythings A1 again

I was just in the Garage and saw the botle of the stuff so here is the pic of the bottle. The docket had listed it as above but the bottle is totaly different. It lists it as "disc brake squeal free" but by Dyna Grip.
Sorry guys
