636 suspension

Postby seraph » Wed Apr 26, 2006 11:55 pm

hi guys, I need to get the front end of my '03 636 re-valved, re-oiled and re-springed (already sorted the rear suspension) I already talked to steve at springwood, just looking for someone else who knows their stuff to get an alternative quote, and maybe some fresh ideas on how to tackle the problem.

I'm happy to ride as far as the gold coast to get the quote, but brisbane-ish people would be preferred :) cheers -J.

Jamie the other person i would be seeing is ractech mpe at beerwah, depends what you want and a lot of people have been happy with steves work but it would be worth getting a quote over the phone.

Did he quote for a revalve and respring on the front and fresh oil or just a revalve you have to compare apples with apples.

I supose you have taken tanyas for a wizz around the block so you would know how they come out.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

barra, he is planning to respring them with .7 springs rather than the .85's that are in there currently, as well as revalve them and some other stuff too but I can't read his writing dontknow.gif I can read the numbers though, and there are a lot of them... big ones... sad1.gif

do you have a number for the folks in beerwah? cheers for the info :) -J.

Mpe Paul Baericke
20 Free St Beerwah QLD 4519

Definitly geta second opinion i am fairly sure that steve has never riden one of these bikes and softer in the springs at the front is definitly not the way to go.

Big port valving takes the bang out but you need more spring to hold the front up otherwise they pitch all over the place.

just my 2c worth.
