Nice J Trevor. :) They have always been a fav model of mine. Horrible rear suspension and a torquey but gutless 750 motor. :D But they have one of the best front ends in the business, and can still be made to steer really well.

Those pics make the arse end ofthe bike look awfully low. Have you put lowering links in the rear end, or perhaps bought it that way???? Or maybe lowered for someone with a touch of ducks disorder????

One of the best mods you can do to that bike is stick a different rear shock linkage in it. They had a really horrible rising rate out of the box, which went from harsh to completely locked solid.

It may take some trolling around or talking to some guys who raced them way back then to find the bits. But it would be well worth it if you intend on doing any sorts of mileage on it. :)

Good luck with it, it is a top looking bike and a nice paint job too!!!!

I built the lowering links from 1/4 flat stock.Moved the forks up 2" in the trees and put the controls on top the tree.New rubber in front with rebuilt forks--major difference in the ride, but what are these linkage parts you talk about. Are they "R" model pieces? Would they make for a more friendly ride or are they better for performance? Thanks for the compliment,I did all the paint myself. When you do it yourself, praise goes twice as far. :D
