I think it might be.....and its the *only* one that gets a regular repeat... and Marty, I don't know who you are referring to with 'ficticious' stories and 'fictional' speeds, but could you possibly name some examples (apart of course from your own.......  ) Mate, If I had to spend $2.60 worth of petrol to catch *insert name*, then I spent $2.60 to catch him, not $2.20, or $1.80......

Just my 2c worth, but I agree with Ponti, its great to do a 'Ride Report', but putting in every single stop/town/pub on the route is just inviting unwanted guests to ruin your day......most people can read a map....well, most of them can try ...... If you do get a few punters agreeing for a ride, better to pm the route, and then go into specific details *after* the ride, its all done'n'dusted then.......

just check the OSB thread  its hardly surprising that certain areas are 'under the hammer', FFS when you post things on an open public forum, you have to expect grief if its too blatant.......

Ride reports should be about the ride itself, not how fabulous your own riding skills are, they are already well-established  , its about the 'feeling' of the ride, out there with your mates, enjoying a good open-road blast, without *specifics* - it is a hard job to do this well , but its not impossible.......I do enjoy reading your ride reports, just wish I could be there to enjoy them myself...... :(

this is just my *very* humble opinion.........

Not pointing bones or creating a witch hunt (not slang)! I was just suggesting and including myself, that sometimes restraint may be the more prudent method for some posts.

Once again people's riding skills have nothing to do with it, although this theme is continually brought up in your posts. I reckon it's cause you're shitting yourself having to go up against the might of the Hornet one day and being embarrassed to ever ride your wimpy 12 in public ever again.

But maybe just like good spin doctors do, we could take more postivie terminolgy and phrases to describe things in a more creative way.

It's amazing how some people think isn't it. Perhaps we may be refering to the general impression given to the Non-Motorcycling people who may stumble across things which highlight how dangerous motorcycles can be on public roads in the wrong hands. Not suggesting for a moment that the good people of law inforcement would bother. Matter of fact, some of the best stuff I have seen comes from an email addy ending police.gov.vic.au  It's a good mate of mine. Sends me all sorts of stuff he finds!!!

But maybe as motorcyclists ourselves we could do with a bit of spin doctoring................... :?:

thats a tad rich, after all if we check out your ride reports, they are *full* of references to your riding skills.......I am not bagging you here mate, I am just calling your posts exactly as I ( and others) see them.......after all, its *you* posting them...........if you like, I will do a little edited summary of your ride reports, and maybe you will see what I mean......

so here is your next challenge......

Do a Ride Report without *once* referring to your own abilities or skills. No references to 'he was still keeping up with me', or ' I took a 80kmh posted corner at 140', or stuff like that ......I think everyone here understands fully that you are *Top Gun*, so it shouldn't be too hard......

I knew you were just sensitive about this whole competitive thing Gosling.....I know you're a better rider than me so just calm down OK

Police would be the last worry. Imagine some citizen print out all ride reports and point out to the council of twisty suburbs and demand 60 or 80 speed zone

Why .. in bayside there's a group dedicated to lower beach road to 40k zone wtf

The cops do read the forums.

Someone i know the cops asked him what his nickname was and then they tried to book him over something he'd posted.

If you brag about doing silly stuff you're crazy

Andy, this might come as a bit of a shock but... most roads unless they're a highway/freeway ARE 60-80kmh limits....
