i had a vista cruise control when i had my honda blackbird, it was a fantastic bit of kit, no electronics, just a manual throttle clamp, easy to fit and a godsend on long journeys.

link below shows how to fit one

buy them here

I meant to buy the rcoker for the Broken Hill trip I did, ended up buying the clamp, found it can't rteally be fitted to a ZZR600 as theere's bugger all free handlebar space so ended up with nada DOH!

Might pick one up tomorrow in the shitty for the HG run.

it just allows you to maintain a throttle setting with the palm of your hand, and allow you to stretch your fingers out, give 'em a wiggle, and basically get the circulation going again.....

Not every bike needs these - it really depends upon the amount of vibration you get via the throttle grip......some bikes have *very little*, and some have heaps.....

... I have a vista throttle lock and a rocker. Haven't decided which I like better... The throttle is a bit cramped with both fitted... so the rocker tends to be thrown into the tank bag.

For long rides with sweepy roads and straights the rocker rocks! For twisty bits... they are NBG! I had an arse puckering moment in a right hander... forgot the rocker was there, pushed on the right bar to lean the bike over... and got a MAJOR surge of acceleration instead. Yikes!!

Vista lock is cool, but is a bit finicky. At 100km/h the cruise throttle posisiton is just a bit over cracked open... makes locking it there a bit tricky as it tends to roll back a frag and you start s l o w i n g down. It'll cruise at 120km/h no problem though. I'm about to fit heated grips... the vista might have to go... we'll see.

Cheers

Rob
