don't laugh, I picked up the 12 brand new last year, for *cheaper* than a new gixxer 600

The magazine reports and test-rides at the time always rated the ZX7R as having one of the best front-ends in the business. Full stop. It was always raved about.......

Still is mate even amongst the current crop of sportsbikes. :D Doesn't have the outright top end of a litre bike but with the right rider aboard can match it with anything in the twisties/sweepers etc.

Having the lastest & greatest doesn't mean shit if you can't ride it!
There is a great satisfication in rounding up much bigger & newer bikes on an outdated overweight underpowered bike. :D

As a road bike they are not really underpowered nor overweight in my opinion. from the klms I have done on one, they were pretty damn hard to fault. The only criticism I had, was that they pushed the front a little too early. But a rear ride height adjustment cures that in about ten minutes  I still lurve riding them.

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

bloody oath there is  especially when the *newer* bike is an R1, and the *outdated overweight underpowered* bike is a 1980 Z1000
