I sat on Wattie's Z1000 the other day and without having ridden one, i'm leaning more towards the 10R as a future upgrade to my 636...

funny u say that..i love the look of the z1000..and i want one..but after riding a er5 for 3 days (loaner) in winter..i hated the lack of fairing....

Yeah i was blissfully unaware how good a screen was till i swapped bikes with my bro (a ZX9) on a highway trip.
I would love to have 2 bikes for seperate purposes eg a ZX9 (or something similar) for trips and the Z for roaring round town.
The screen on the Z750 i reckon is actually not too bad (not as bad as youd think anyway) and "they" reckon the Z1000 is even better.
I reckon a Z1000 looks pretty damn sexy though so thats gotta make up for most of the wind
